VT - Pitt Prediction ....

If Phillippi is out as suggested, the task got easier for the Hokies, although VT was always a solid favorite for this dual. As I see it, the pairings suggest the following
Pitt is the favorite in 2 weights: 141 (slight) and 197 (heavy)
VT is the favorite in 7 weights: 125 (heavy), 133 (heavy), 149 (heavy), 157 (moderate), 165 (slight), 184 (heavy), and 285 (moderate).
1 toss-up: 174

125: Latona wins but a major is definitely possible, VT up 4-0.
133: Myers wins with a MD over Newell, VT up 8-0.
141: Hillegas loses a close one to Matthews, VT up 8-3
149: Andonian with a fall over Burnett, VT up 14-3
157: Brady wins a regular decision over Badgett, VT up 17-3.
165: Lewis wins tight, hard fought match over Wentzel (this one scares me a little), VT up 20-3
174: Howard wins this one over McGill, VT up 22-3.
184: Bolen over Harvey, VT up 26-3
197: Bonaccorsi over Smeltzer/Smith by MD, VT up 26-7
285: Borst or Catka over Slinger by regular decisoin, VT wins 29-7.

Match-by-match analysis final score seems a little optimistic, let's say Pitt gets one more of those matches, so my overall guess is 26-10.
